What Is the Best Market Data Feed?
I don’t think anyone has done a comprehensive comparison of data feeds to find out which ones are quickest and most reliable. But, for what it’s worth, here are the data feeds I consider best:
TradeStation
Kinetick
CQG/Continuum
Rithmic, and
eSignal
It is important to use a high quality data feed, particularly when day trading using tick charts. And make sure your data feed has both real-time and historic tick data.
A warning about different data feeds
eSignal: You may need to adjust your tick charts because eSignal distributes “bundled” data from the CME. I recommend using a 200 tick chart instead of a 500 tick chart for Emini day trading – the bundling of data appears to add a factor of 2.5.
DTN iQ Feed: I do NOT recommend as customers have reported issues when switching between charts and Better Momentum does not work on 60 minute charts.
Interactive Brokers: I do NOT recommend as it is not a full tick-by-tick feed.
Luckily, with TradeStation the data feed is “in-built”. All you have to do is subscribe to the data series you want access to. This adds to your monthly trading costs, but view it as just a cost of doing business.

eSignal :
Tick-by-tick 60 days back, 6 months of minute, 12+ years of daily historical data
