Stocks took a sharp nosedive following a false AP tweet that indicated that the White House had been the victim of an explosion and that the President had been injured. The AP confirmed its Twitter feed was hacked.
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney held a press conference shortly following the Twitter post, saying "the President is fine."
Stocks immediately snapped back to their previous levels, with the Dow back up over 100 points.
