Hello,
Effective January 1, 2018 the CME Group increased their fees to anyone who distributes their data. Specifically, they increased the data distribution license fee by $48,000 per year which we have absorbed for the first two months of the year. We can’t continue to subsidize the CME, therefore effective March 1, 2018 we will institute a 45 cent per contract fee on Firetip Basic platform trades to cover these addition costs. If you are on Firetip Pro, then this does not apply to your account. For the casual traders or those of you who don’t trade often or who don’t want or need Firetip Pro and don’t want to be committed to monthly platform fees, we will still give you the platform for free but there will be the small charge per contract. If you don’t trade then there is no effect. If you trade regularly it may make sense for you to switch to Firetip Pro.
